Current Projects Such as Hydrogen Charging Station Construction Gain Momentum
Jeongeup City in North Jeolla Province announced on the 20th that it has secured 580.7 billion won in next year's national budget, an increase of 15.9 billion won (2.8%) compared to this year.
This is expected to serve as an important foundation for regional development and future growth by fostering high-tech industries and expanding social overhead capital (SOC).
The secured budget includes 15 new projects such as ▲ Green Bio Material Advanced Analysis System Construction Project (2.475 billion won, total project cost 9.9 billion won) ▲ Hydrogen Charging Station Construction Project (700 million won, total project cost 12 billion won) ▲ Naechil Natural Disaster Risk Improvement District Maintenance Project (600 million won, total project cost 27.9 billion won) ▲ Ippam Treatment District Phase 2 Sewer Pipeline Installation Project (500 million won, total project cost 8.8 billion won) ▲ Sanwoemyeon Wonjongsan Rural Village Sewer Maintenance Project (300 million won, total project cost 10 billion won).
These projects will be promoted with a total project cost of 177.5 billion won and are expected to lead balanced regional development and sustainable growth.
With this budget, the city will also be able to smoothly continue major ongoing projects. These include ▲ Agricultural and Livestock Microorganism Industry Shared Infrastructure Construction Project (5 billion won, total project cost 20.54 billion won) ▲ Jungang 3 Treatment District (Buk-myeon, Jeongu, Taein) Sewer Pipeline Installation Project (4.657 billion won, total project cost 19.943 billion won) ▲ Deokcheon Treatment District Sewer Pipeline Installation Project (4.59 billion won, total project cost 17.328 billion won) ▲ Yongheung and 5 Other Districts Drainage Improvement Project (14.1 billion won, total project cost 85.8 billion won) ▲ Regional Innovation Mega Project (2.6 billion won, total project cost 7.08 billion won).
This securing of the national budget is expected to revitalize the local economy, especially in the high-tech and SOC sectors, and contribute to youth job creation. In particular, the budget is anticipated to play a key role in overcoming the crisis of local extinction and laying the foundation for balanced regional development.
Mayor Lee Haksoo said, "I commend the efforts of the staff who worked hard to secure national funds, as securing national funding is essential for a sustainable Jeongeup City," and added, "For projects that were not increased at the National Assembly stage, please do your utmost to ensure they are included in next year's supplementary budget at the National Assembly."
Building on this achievement, the city plans to further accelerate regional development and balanced growth by continuously securing national funds and discovering various new projects.
