This year's Gangwon Province comprehensive evaluation consisted of an assessment of overall tax administration across 19 items in 5 areas, including local tax imposition and collection performance, non-tax revenue imposition and collection, and local tax audits.
Yeongwol-gun made continuous efforts to secure autonomous resources by accurately organizing taxable data, collecting arrears from high-amount defaulters, and actively discovering taxpayer convenience policies to expand local tax revenue, resulting in high scores and awards at the local tax and non-tax revenue workshop.
Through this, starting with the Grand Prize in 2020, Yeongwol-gun has been selected as an award-winning institution in the local tax administration comprehensive evaluation for five consecutive years.
Jo Samsik, Head of the Tax Accounting Division of Yeongwol-gun, said, “Being selected as an award-winning institution for five consecutive years in the local tax administration comprehensive evaluation is the result of the consistent efforts of tax administration officials to enhance taxpayer convenience, such as producing easy-to-read local tax bills, and it was made possible by the sincere payments of the residents. We will continue to provide trusted tax administration services to the residents.”
