[2025 Regular Admission Special] Chung-Ang University, 150 Open Major Admissions for Group C 'Creative ICT College of Engineering'

College of Creative ICT Engineering, Transition to Open Major Admission

Chung-Ang University will select 1,925 students, accounting for 44% of the total recruitment, in the regular admission for the 2025 academic year. Students will be selected from all three groups: Ga-gun, Na-gun, and Da-gun.

In the general CSAT admission, 1,687 students will be admitted. Most departments conduct separate recruitment, but unlike the previous year, the College of Creative ICT Engineering in Da-gun will recruit through an open major system. The open major recruitment allows students to be admitted to the college first and then choose a department within that college. Students can attend classes in the chosen department for one year and have the opportunity to change if it does not suit their aptitude.

In Ga-gun, 626 students will be selected from the Department of Pharmacy, AI Department, Global Finance, Department of Public Talent, and Department of Media Communication, among others. Na-gun will admit 617 students from the Department of Medicine, Department of Energy Systems Engineering, Department of Life Sciences, Department of Economics, Department of Psychology, and others. Da-gun will recruit 444 students from the Department of Software, Department of Business Administration, and the College of Creative ICT Engineering through open major recruitment. All are selected based on 100% CSAT scores. However, the Department of Physical Education evaluates applicants with 80% CSAT scores and 20% documents without practical tests.

The reflection ratio of the CSAT in the general admission varies by recruitment unit. For the humanities-related Social Sciences College, College of Business and Economics, and Department of Nursing, 30% Korean, 40% Mathematics, and 30% Social/Science Inquiry are reflected. For all other humanities-related recruitment units, 35% Korean, 30% Mathematics, and 35% Social/Science Inquiry are reflected for selection. English and Korean History provide additional points based on grades.

Regarding inquiry subjects, there are no restrictions on recruitment unit applications based on subject choice. However, applicants to the College of Humanities and College of Education who took social inquiry, and applicants to natural sciences who took science inquiry, will receive an additional 5% bonus on the converted standard score of the inquiry subject. The College of Business and Economics, Social Sciences College, and Department of Nursing (humanities) do not provide additional points regardless of inquiry subjects.

Chung-Ang University operates the 'Regular Admission Consultation Happy Call' to reduce the consulting cost burden on applicants and provide accurate information. Applicants can receive acceptance prediction results analyzed with the most accurate data from the university's previous admission results and the latest trends from college entrance score prediction agencies. The consultation period is from the 23rd to the 31st of this month (excluding holidays). Applications can be made on a first-come, first-served basis through the admissions office website.

The Chung-Ang Talent Scholarship benefits for outstanding CSAT scorers in the regular admission have also been greatly expanded. Those with a combined percentile of 288 or higher in Korean, Mathematics, and Inquiry, and a grade 1 in English, will receive full scholarships and academic support for four years, full tuition and research funds for master's and doctoral programs, support for exchange student expenses, and priority selection for dormitories.

Applications for the regular admission will be accepted from the 31st of this month until January 3rd of next year, and can only be submitted online through UwayApply.
