Daejeon City announced that it has selected the winners of the 30th Economic and Science Awards, recognizing those who have contributed to the economic and scientific development of Daejeon.

The awardees are: △ Export category: Jinhap Co., Ltd. △ Science and Technology category: Sung Kyungbok, principal researcher at the Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute △ Venture Business category: Kim Deukhyeon, principal researcher at Kosem Co., Ltd. △ Industry-Academia Cooperation category: Professor Jeong Minjung of the University of Science and Technology △ Distribution and Consumer Protection category: Kang Sinhak, president of the Jeongwon Market Merchants Association △ Agriculture category: Yoo Hwangcheol, CEO of Shintanjin Brewery Co., Ltd.

Lee Jangwoo, Mayor of Daejeon, said, "I sincerely thank all of you who have achieved outstanding results in your respective fields through relentless challenge and innovation," and added, "We will actively discover and support more contributors like the awardees to ensure the continued development of Daejeon's economy and science."

Meanwhile, the Daejeon Economic and Science Awards, now in its 30th year, has been recognizing contributors to the economic and scientific development of Daejeon since 1994, with a total of 172 recipients including the six awarded this year.
