Recognized for Anti-Corruption Efforts and Promotion of Integrity Culture
Based on Transparency and Trust... Pursuing Sustainable Development
Gumi City in Gyeongbuk Province achieved a Grade 2 rating in the 2024 Comprehensive Integrity Evaluation announced by the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission, recognizing its anti-corruption efforts and achievements in integrity policies.
This result marks an improvement compared to last year and is the highest grade among 75 basic local governments at the city level.
The Comprehensive Integrity Evaluation by the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission is conducted by scoring a combination of internal and external perceptions and experiences of corruption, integrity awareness surveys, anti-corruption efforts, and deductions for corruption incidents.
For this evaluation, the city aimed to improve internal and external integrity awareness by strengthening fair and transparent work processes and active communication, while listening to the opinions of stakeholders. In particular, to prevent corruption in advance, the city focused on enhancing integrity education and conducting integrity practice campaigns to raise awareness within the organization.
Gumi City does not intend to be satisfied with this achievement but plans to continuously improve its integrity level and establish itself as a leading institution in integrity.
Mayor Kim Jang-ho stated, “Achieving Grade 2 is the result of all employees working together to create an honest organizational culture,” adding, “We will continue to aim for Grade 1 in integrity and further strengthen the trust of citizens and stakeholders.”
