Google announced on the 20th that its conversational artificial intelligence (AI), 'Gemini Live,' now supports the Korean language.
Gemini Live is a conversational AI technology that interacts and collaborates in real-time according to user requests. With the addition of Korean support, Google aims to lower language barriers and provide the benefits of AI to a wider audience.
Gemini Live is available on Android and iOS devices. Users can set up to two languages on a single device. To add a desired language, users can select their profile or initials at the top of the Google application, go to the settings tab, choose Google Assistant, and specify Korean or any supported language.
The Korean support for Gemini Live goes beyond simple translation; it reflects subtle nuances, idiomatic expressions, and the honorific system of the Korean language through collaboration with native Korean linguists and cultural experts. To enhance user experience, it supports 10 different Korean voice options and optimizes audio quality. This allows Korean users to enjoy more natural and intuitive conversations as well as a next-level personalized AI service.
