Nowon-gu Mayor Oh Seung-rok Attends Cheonbo Senior Center Green Remodeling Completion Ceremony

On the morning of the 19th, Oh Seung-rok, Mayor of Nowon District, attended the 'Cheonbo Senior Center Green Remodeling Completion Ceremony' held at Cheonbo Senior Center.

'Cheonbo Senior Center' is an aging senior center completed in 1998, with a scale of one basement floor to two above-ground floors (total floor area 259.32㎡). It underwent green remodeling to improve energy performance and environmental maintenance.

The public building green remodeling project aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by improving insulation of interior and exterior walls, installing high-performance windows and doors, and high-efficiency heating and cooling systems in public buildings such as daycare centers and senior centers that are over 10 years old and have low energy efficiency.

Through this green remodeling, 'Cheonbo Senior Center' underwent architectural improvements including replacement of exterior finishes, reinforcement of insulation in walls, roof, and floors, and replacement of windows and finishing materials. Additionally, facilities were modernized with the installation of high-efficiency heating and cooling systems, gas boilers, and LED lighting replacements.

The completion ceremony was attended by about 100 people including Mayor Oh Seung-rok, city and district council members, and senior center members. The event proceeded in the order of ▲opening and introduction of guests ▲progress report ▲greetings ▲congratulatory speeches ▲plaque unveiling ▲commemorative photo ▲rounding.

Mayor Oh Seung-rok of Nowon District said, "I am pleased to provide a more comfortable space for the elderly by green remodeling the aging senior center," and added, "We will continue to monitor aging facilities in the area and do our best to improve the environment and enhance welfare."
