Daejin Advanced Materials, a composite plastic materials and manufacturing specialist company led by CEO Seongjun Yuseong, received the Minister of SMEs and Startups Award in the Youth Entrepreneur category at the 2024 Venture Startup Promotion on the 19th.
The Venture Startup Promotion Merit Award, hosted by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, is a system to honor individuals who have contributed to the activation of venture startups based on innovative growth. In particular, the award in the 'Youth Entrepreneur category' is considered meaningful as the final recipients are selected through a rigorous process including performance verification and on-site inspections.
Despite difficult economic conditions such as the chasm (temporary demand slowdown), Daejin Advanced Materials was recognized for its contribution to national development by achieving steady sales growth as a global company by supplying customized products through carbon nanotube modification and dispersion technology and overseas local vertical integration.
The carbon nanotube modification and dispersion technology can prevent or delay ignition or thermal runaway caused by static electricity during the packaging and transportation of components sensitive to electricity and heat, such as electronic products, semiconductors, and secondary batteries. As the secondary battery industry grows, the company has also benefited.
CEO Seongjun Yuseong of Daejin Advanced Materials stated, “We are pleased to be recognized for our efforts as a young company like ours that has strengthened competitiveness in the global market based on government R&D funds and multiple rounds of investment,” adding, “We will continue to grow into a more trusted company through advanced technological innovation in the clean mobility sector.”
Meanwhile, Daejin Advanced Materials is pursuing a KOSDAQ IPO. It received preliminary review approval on November 22, and the lead manager is Mirae Asset Securities.
