Damyang County Launches 'Policy Think Tank' County Administration Advisory Group

28 Members Appointed as Committee Members... "Growth of Namdo as a Key City"

Damyang County held the inauguration ceremony of the County Advisory Group on the 18th at Songgangjeong Hall in the county office, with 28 advisory committee members in attendance. Provided by Damyang County

Damyang County, Jeollanam-do announced on the 19th that it held an inauguration ceremony for the County Administration Advisory Group at the Songgangjeong Room in the county office on the 18th and appointed 28 advisory members.

The County Administration Advisory Group consists of four subcommittees: agriculture and rural affairs, regional development, welfare and administration, and culture and tourism. Over a two-year term, it will serve as an innovative think tank for policy proposals and advice.

The advisory group is expected to serve as a communication channel that reflects the voices of experts from various fields and local residents, providing in-depth opinions and practical policy proposals to lay a key foundation for the sustainable development of Damyang County.

The inauguration ceremony included the presentation of appointment letters to advisory members, the selection of the chairperson and vice chairperson, a report on the direction of county administration, and an introduction to the advisory group’s operational plans.

Co-chairperson Seol Jaerok expressed his aspirations, saying, “I will work alongside Damyang County and strive to provide practical assistance to the county administration through active advisory activities.”

County Governor Lee Byeongno emphasized, “The role of the County Administration Advisory Group is extremely important for regional development,” and requested, “Please contribute your strength and wisdom through active advisory activities to help Damyang County grow into a key city in southern Korea that attracts national attention by solving local issues.”
