The Private School Teachers' Pension Service (Sahak Yeongeum) announced on the 19th that it received the Minister of Gender Equality and Family Award after being selected as an "Outstanding Family-Friendly Company/Institution" at the "2024 Family-Friendly Certification and Government Awards Ceremony" hosted by the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family the previous day.
This event was held at the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Namdaemun-ro, Jung-gu) to present group awards (a total of 18 awards) to excellent companies and institutions spreading family-friendly workplace cultures. Sahak Yeongeum was highly evaluated for setting an exemplary standard in family-friendly management through continuous innovation and efforts to balance work and life.
Since first obtaining the family-friendly company certification from the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family in 2011, Sahak Yeongeum has continuously maintained the certification. Recently, it has actively supported work-family balance through voluntary establishment and operation of workplace daycare centers, operation of a one-stop childcare time system, and the introduction of innovative technologies (RPA·OCR). In particular, it is doing its best to create a happy workplace to overcome the low birthrate crisis, which is emphasized as a social issue.
Song Hajung, Chairman of Sahak Yeongeum, stated on the occasion of this award, "The population decline and low birthrate issues, which are emphasized as social problems, are certainly urgent challenges that our society must overcome together with collective wisdom." He added, "As a pillar of social welfare, Sahak Yeongeum holds a sense of mission to overcome these issues. We will take the lead in creating a happy workplace to add value to 'everyone's tomorrow.'"
