Organizational Restructuring to Accelerate Future Projects and Pioneer New Markets
Daedong announced on the 19th that it has carried out organizational restructuring and promotion personnel changes focusing on the full-scale launch of future businesses in Korea and the development of new overseas markets.
Daedong has set key goals for next year, including ▲full-scale launch of future businesses such as AI/Robotics/Smart Farm ▲securing a foothold in strategic growth markets such as compact construction equipment ▲maximizing sales and profitability. To this end, Daedong established the Domestic Business Division by integrating the Platform Business Headquarters, which was responsible for related technologies and business planning of future business items such as autonomous agricultural machinery and agricultural robots, precision agriculture services, and connected services, with the domestic sales organization. Executive Director Lee Kwang-wook, who led the Platform Business Headquarters, will take charge of the Domestic Business Division to promote the business and plans to enter the global market after building a growth foundation and successful experience in future businesses domestically.
A new CCE Headquarters was also established to expand global sales of the new business product, compact construction equipment (CCE), and to pioneer new markets such as T?rkiye and Ukraine. To create R&D synergies between existing and future businesses and strengthen product competitiveness, the R&D Planning Headquarters was launched. The R&D Planning Headquarters plans to establish Daedong’s mid- to long-term R&D strategy and manage overall product and technology development projects.
Additionally, Daedong appointed Executive Director Yoon Chi-hwan, who serves as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of the North American corporation, as the head of the European corporation to foster Europe as the second base market. The new head of the European corporation will focus on expanding local market share, increasing sales of medium and large tractors, and establishing and executing strategies for the entry of future businesses into the European market.
Kwon Ki-jae, Head of Daedong Group Management Office, said, “We reorganized the organization to rebuild the planning, development, and launch system of our products and services from the customer’s perspective and to actively pioneer new businesses and new markets amid a highly uncertain global environment. Next year, we will provide products and services that will create the future of our agricultural industry, such as agricultural robots, precision agriculture, connected services, and smart farms.”
