Secured 100 Million Won Special Grant for Excellence Incentive Evaluation
Yangsan City in Gyeongnam has been selected as an excellent local government for three consecutive years in the 'Organizational Operation Efficiency Evaluation' hosted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety.
The Ministry of the Interior and Safety has been providing incentives annually to local governments nationwide that demonstrate outstanding performance in two areas: workforce operation efficiency and committee organization improvement, to enable autonomous and efficient management of local organizations. Yangsan City has been selected as an excellent local government in the workforce operation efficiency category for the past three years and received incentives, and this time secured a special grant of 100 million KRW.
The city was recognized for identifying reduction areas for similar and overlapping functions and under-resourced organizations, and prioritizing the reallocation of personnel focused on responding to new administrative demands, local issues, and resident-facing projects.
Mayor Na Dong-yeon stated, “Starting this year, we have formed a public-private joint organizational diagnosis team, and based on its diagnosis, we will further enhance the efficiency of personnel and organization,” adding, “We will do our best to realize a sustainable Yangsan and stabilize the local economy.”
