Guri-si Holds 2024 Health Lecture Evaluation Meeting to Protect Myself

Sharing Results of GuriVision Broadcast and Comment Event and Discussing Future Operation Plans

The city of Guri, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Baek Kyung-hyun) announced on the 18th that it successfully concluded the non-face-to-face health lectures for citizen health promotion in 2024 and held an evaluation meeting on the 17th with 14 participants including officials from the city and Hanyang University Guri Hospital, a cooperating institution.

At the evaluation meeting, the agenda included ▲reporting the results of the health lectures held in the first and second halves of 2024 ▲plans for operating health lectures in 2025 ▲and discussing various promotional methods for the health lectures.


So far, Guri City has operated monthly non-face-to-face lectures conducted by specialists in each field on various topics such as metabolic syndrome and chronic disease prevention, cardiovascular and cerebrovascular disease prevention, vaccinations, otolaryngology diseases, shingles, hand surgery diseases, musculoskeletal disease prevention, and the latest cancer treatments.


In particular, in June and September, face-to-face lectures on muscle exercises for musculoskeletal disease prevention and cardiovascular and cerebrovascular disease prevention were held simultaneously, receiving great responses from citizens through specialists’ answers to comments.


A total of about 8,100 people participated in 12 YouTube sessions and 2 face-to-face sessions, and 1,563 people participated in comment events for each lecture, with 240 people receiving prizes through a drawing.


Mayor Baek Kyung-hyun of Guri said, “I thank the faculty and officials of Hanyang University Guri Hospital who cooperated to promote citizen health,” and added, “I hope that through this evaluation meeting, practical and effective plans for operating health lectures to increase citizens’ healthy life expectancy will be sought.”
