Prosecutor General Shim Woo-jung convened the Special Investigation Headquarters for the Proclamation of Martial Law (headed by High Prosecutor Park Se-hyun) to discuss the direction of the investigation regarding the decision to transfer President Yoon Seok-yeol's insurrection case to the High-ranking Officials' Crime Investigation Office (HOCI).

According to the legal community on the 18th, High Prosecutor Park and Deputy Chief Prosecutor Lee Chan-gyu, who is in charge of the investigation at the Special Investigation Headquarters, visited the Supreme Prosecutors' Office in the afternoon.
The Supreme Prosecutors' Office announced through a notice, "The visit of the Special Investigation Headquarters' head and others to the Supreme Prosecutors' Office was convened by the Prosecutor General to discuss the future investigation direction related to the partial transfer of the martial law case to HOCI."
HOCI Chief Oh Dong-woon and Supreme Prosecutors' Office Deputy Chief Lee Jin-dong met that day to discuss the transfer related to the martial law situation.
The Supreme Prosecutors' Office stated, "As a result of the consultation, the cases against suspects Yoon Seok-yeol and Lee Sang-min will be transferred to HOCI, and HOCI agreed to withdraw the transfer requests for the remaining suspects among those requested." That day was the second deadline for HOCI to notify the prosecution to transfer cases related to the martial law situation.
