Pocheon-si Successfully Concludes 'Education Development The+ Learning Talk Concert'

Opening a Forum for Communication with Citizens

Pocheon City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Baek Young-hyun) announced on the 18th that the 'Pocheon City Education Development The+ Learning Talk Concert,' held on the 17th at Banwol Art Hall Grand Theater, was successfully completed with the attendance of about 900 citizens.

Co-hosted and organized by Pocheon City, Gyeonggi-do Pocheon Office of Education, and the Pocheon City Youth Foundation, this event was prepared to commemorate the selection of the education development special zone pilot area and the launch of the Pocheon City Youth Foundation, as well as to share the vision and direction of Pocheon City's education development with citizens.

The first part of the event began with a pre-performance by the Pocheon City Boys and Girls Choir, followed by the education vision proclamation ceremony, education vision presentation, and a talk concert themed around key keywords related to education. It was an opportunity to specifically introduce the core goals and implementation plans of Pocheon City's education.

In the second part, La Classe, Yuk Joong-wan Band, and Ailee performed various shows, providing citizens with a special cultural experience.

A citizen who participated in the event said, "It was a meaningful occasion where I could understand Pocheon City's education vision," adding, "The diverse performances made it very beneficial. I hope such opportunities will be provided frequently in the future."

Mayor Baek Young-hyun of Pocheon City said, "Through this talk concert based on communication with citizens, we wanted to share Pocheon City's education vision," and added, "We will actively reflect citizens' opinions for the successful operation of the education development special zone. I thank many people who attended despite the cold weather and wish everyone a happy year-end."
