Wando Cheongsando was selected in the Eco-Friendly Tourism Content category of the "2024 Korea Tourism Star," chosen by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Tourism Organization.

The "Korea Tourism Star" is the most prestigious award in the tourism sector, given to tourism resources and contributors who have advanced Korea's tourism industry over the past year.

Wando Cheongsando was selected in the "Eco-Friendly Tourism Content" category.

Cheongsando, which was the first in Asia to be designated as a Slow City in 2007, is a representative tourist destination where visitors can experience the beauty of a slow-paced life along with its stunning scenery.

Wando Cheongsando received high praise for its efforts toward sustainable tourism development where nature and people coexist, particularly for its resident-led tourism products that generate local income and its environmental protection campaigns such as plogging.
