Uijeongbu City Supports Capacity Building for Uijeongbu Branch of Gyeonggi-do Women's Association Council

Uijeongbu City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Kim Dong-geun) announced on the 18th that it conducted a capacity-building program for members of the Uijeongbu branch of the Gyeonggi-do Women's Association at the Munyesup Community Center, Hoeryong Station branch, on the 16th.

On that day, the program was led by instructor Yoon Mi-kyung (representative of Mom Saem Sharing School) under the theme of "Making Eco-friendly Soap." Members made household products without surfactants and communicated about practicing eco-friendliness in daily life.

One member said, "It was a valuable time to understand the necessity of eco-friendly practices while making soap and to recognize the seriousness of the climate crisis."

Mayor Kim Dong-geun said, "I appreciate the hard work of the women's association members who are actively working in various fields for regional development," and added, "I hope they will strengthen their capabilities through the Munyesup program and join Uijeongbu City in changing their lives."

Uijeongbu City operates self-development, hobby, and cultural programs every month using volunteer instructors to contribute to expanding women's social participation and promoting a culture of gender equality.
