Buan County to Hold 'Local Food Direct Market' Special Sales Event on the 20th and 21st

Discounts on Select Items Including Strawberries, Choco Pie, and Pork Ribs

Buan County, North Jeolla Province (Governor Kwon Ikhyeon) announced on the 18th that a special year-end sales event will be held at the Buan Local Food Direct Market on the 20th and 21st.

This event is designed to express gratitude to customers who have supported Buan Local Food throughout the year, and to offer some warmth at the end of the year by easing the economic burden on ordinary citizens in the midst of a cold and stagnant social atmosphere.

The main features of the event include the sale of seasonal agricultural products and specialty items such as strawberries, cherry tomatoes, Noeul Chocopie, bell peppers, as well as pork ribs and eggs, all at discounts of up to 10% off the regular price.

Through this event, the county aims to provide local residents with a special opportunity to purchase fresh and safe food at affordable prices, while also revitalizing the local economy, which has been sluggish due to high inflation.

Governor Kwon Ikhyeon said, "I hope this event will reaffirm the value of Buan Local Food and allow local farmers and residents to enjoy a warm year-end together," adding, "Next year, we will continue various efforts to enhance food welfare and increase the income of local producers, including the opening of the Food & Leisure Town and the operation of the Gyeokpo Local Food Sales Center."
