Contemporary Dance Jeong Geonse, Tennis Jo Sehyuk, and Others
The Chunhyang Scholarship Foundation announced on the 18th that it has awarded the "Star of Namwon" special scholarships totaling 39 million KRW to 10 outstanding students in the arts and sports fields.
The special scholarships were given to the following students: Jeong Geonse for modern dance, Cho Sehyeok, Cho Minhyeok, Shin Gaon, Jang Yeram, and Kim Jinhong for tennis, Lee Dakyung for roller sports, Choi Kangmin for soccer, and Kwak Hyojun and Kim Dowon for boxing.
Jeong Geonse won first place in the modern dance category at the 8th Tanzolymp Asia International Dance Competition, while Cho Sehyeok claimed first place in singles at the IPOH (Ipoh, Malaysia) International Junior Tennis Tournament.

Mayor Choi Kyungsik said, "I am very pleased that, following last year, so many students have excelled and achieved outstanding results in the arts and sports fields," adding, "We will continue to support and encourage the dreams of Namwon's arts and sports students so that they can grow into excellent talents on the world stage. We will do our utmost to ensure that Namwon's future stars can focus on their fields with peace of mind."
The Chunhyang Scholarship Foundation awards the "Star of Namwon" special scholarship to outstanding students in the arts and sports fields who have won prizes at international and national competitions, thereby raising the profile of the region and demonstrating their potential for growth.
