Dong-Eui Institute of Technology (President Kim Young-do) was selected as an outstanding volunteer organization at the '2024 Busan Volunteer Conference' held on the 12th.
The Busan Volunteer Conference is held annually to express gratitude for the efforts of volunteers who have worked for the community throughout the year in celebration of Volunteer Day, and to promote volunteer activities and the culture of sharing.
This year's conference was attended by about 700 volunteers and proceeded in the order of a pre-event performance, introduction video of volunteers, and an awards ceremony for outstanding volunteers.
Students from 10 teams across six departments?Nursing, Physical Therapy, Fire Safety Management, Emergency Medical Services, Medical Skin Care, and Early Childhood Education?at Dong-Eui Institute of Technology carried out various volunteer activities tailored to their department characteristics in connection with the 2024 Specialized College Innovation Support Project volunteer program. As a result of their active engagement with the local community and efforts to spread the culture of sharing through volunteer activities, these students received a commendation from the Mayor of Busan.
Kim Young-do, President of Dong-Eui Institute of Technology, said, "I am pleased that our students were recognized for their achievements by participating in this volunteer activity for local residents," adding, "We will continue volunteer activities that practice sharing and consideration and contribute to the development of the local community, using this commendation as an opportunity."
