New 9-inch Touchscreen AI Home Newly Installed in Bespoke Refrigerator

Samsung Electronics announced on the 18th that it will unveil a large number of new screen appliances equipped with 'AI Home' at CES 2025, the world's largest IT and electronics exhibition, held in Las Vegas, USA, from the 7th to the 10th of next month (local time). AI Home is a solution that remotely controls all appliances connected to its smart home platform 'SmartThings' through the product's touchscreen.

Samsung Electronics stated that it will newly introduce the Bespoke refrigerator equipped with a 9-inch touchscreen, and the Bespoke washing machine and dryer each equipped with a 7-inch touchscreen at CES 2025. The new products to be sold domestically are scheduled to be released in the first half of next year.

Samsung Electronics plans to provide customers with a differentiated appliance connectivity experience through screen-based AI Home. Based on AI Home, Samsung Electronics is showcasing various screen appliances under the vision of 'Screen Everywhere,' which enhances connectivity between appliances to reduce customers' household chores.

Users of screen appliances equipped with AI Home can turn connected appliances on and off through the 'Map View.' In the future, remote control of mode changes and temperature settings for each product will be possible.

Using the AI voice assistant 'Bixby,' users can execute voice commands for content search and control, answering calls, and checking product usage methods. By connecting appliances to the internet, users can check the weather via apps or enjoy videos and music through YouTube and Spotify apps.

The Family Hub and refrigerators equipped with a 9-inch touchscreen can directly function as a SmartThings hub. This means that without purchasing a separate SmartThings hub, users can control door locks, curtains, blinds, and lighting.

Additionally, the 'Samsung TV Plus' app is installed, allowing users to watch various video content through the screen. Through the 'Voice ID' feature, which recognizes family members' voices, personalized services such as checking personal schedules, viewing Google photos and videos, and adjusting screen font size can be used.

Moon Jong-seung, Vice President of Samsung Electronics' Digital Appliances (DA) Division, said, "Samsung screen appliances have definite competitiveness by providing a seamless device connectivity experience through screen-based AI Home," adding, "We will continue to introduce various AI appliances and services that help users reduce household chores and enjoy a wide range of device connectivity experiences."

This year, in line with the Screen Everywhere vision, Samsung Electronics released the 'Bespoke AI Family Hub' equipped with a 32-inch large touchscreen and the all-in-one washer-dryer 'Bespoke AI Combo' equipped with 7-inch and 4.3-inch touchscreens domestically and internationally. Overseas, it introduced the 'Bespoke Wall Oven' and 'Bespoke Slide-in Induction Range' equipped with 7-inch screen-based AI Home.
