The First Domestic Research and Development (R&D) Specialized Institution
The Korea Technology and Information Promotion Agency for SMEs (TIPA) announced on the 18th that it has maintained the ISO 37001 certification for seven consecutive years, since becoming the first domestic research and development (R&D) specialized institution to obtain the Anti-Bribery Management System (ISO 37001) international standard certification in December 2017.
ISO 37001 is an international standard for anti-bribery management systems established by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), which includes participation from 162 countries worldwide. It was established in October 2016 to prevent the possibility of corruption within organizations through systematic measures, and the certification system was implemented domestically starting in April 2017.

ISO 37001 specifies that organizations must identify all potential corruption risks in advance and manage them through policies and other measures. This enables organizations to implement reasonable and appropriate actions related to corruption.
The continued maintenance of the ISO 37001 certification signifies that TIPA’s evaluation management system?including planning, assessment, and business support for SME research and development?as well as the agency’s overall public services, are conducted in accordance with the international standards for anti-bribery management.
Kim Young-shin, President of TIPA, emphasized, "Based on the continued maintenance of the ISO 37001 certification, we will do our utmost to strengthen national competitiveness through transparent and honest support for SMEs and to promote a culture of integrity."
