GreenPlus Signs 9.7 Billion KRW Contract for New Rental-Type Smart Farm Construction in Bonghwa, Gyeongbuk

This Bonghwa Rental Smart Farm project has a total budget of 23.5 billion KRW and aims for completion in September 2025. The advanced greenhouses and research facilities, covering approximately 5.3 hectares, are specialized for strawberry and tomato cultivation. Building A (2 hectares) will be used for strawberries, and Building B (1.5 hectares) will be used for tomatoes.

GreenPlus plans to establish an optimal cultivation environment reflecting the regional characteristics of Bonghwa-gun. Through this, it is expected to once again demonstrate its technological prowess in the smart farm sector. The company has already successfully carried out various projects domestically and internationally, establishing itself as a leading smart farm company in Korea. Currently, projects such as rental smart farms in Sangju, Gyeongbuk, Yanggu, Gangwon-do, and Sinan-gun, Jeonnam, are also underway.

In this project, GreenPlus will introduce nutrient solution recycling facilities and a high-performance air-source heat pump heating and cooling system to build a top-tier rental smart farm in Korea that achieves energy savings and environmental protection. GreenPlus’s smart farms apply eco-friendly energy technologies and high-efficiency systems that respond to abnormal climate conditions, providing innovative solutions for sustainable agriculture. Its technological capabilities are highly regarded overseas as well.

Recently, GreenPlus signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Australia’s largest agricultural distribution company, Premier Fresh Australia. They successfully secured a contract for the construction and supply of tomato greenhouses in the Western Australia (WA) region. This is an example demonstrating that GreenPlus’s technology and reliability are recognized not only domestically but also in the global market.

Jung Soon-tae, CEO of GreenPlus, said, “This Bonghwa Rental Smart Farm project is the result of GreenPlus’s advanced smart farm technology and efforts to realize sustainable agriculture.” He added, “We will continue to lead agricultural innovation both domestically and internationally and provide smart farm solutions that contribute to regional economic revitalization and environmental protection.”
