[Click eStock] "Hanjoong NS, Expecting Growth in Water-Cooled ESS"

On the 18th, IBK Investment & Securities analyzed Hanjoong NS as the only domestic company mass-producing water-cooled ESS cooling systems, holding a monopolistic position.

Hyunwook Lee, a researcher at IBK Investment & Securities, explained, "With the growth of IT-related industries such as artificial intelligence (AI) and data centers, the ESS market is expected to grow rapidly due to power supply and demand imbalances," adding, "ESS devices inherently require multiple charge and discharge cycles per day as they store and supply electricity."

He continued, "Basically, modules can be stably charged at temperatures below 27~28℃, making cooling systems important," and added, "Water cooling allows a temperature variation of 3℃, enabling up to four charge and discharge cycles per day, and reduces power consumption by 50% compared to air cooling."

Furthermore, he emphasized, "Hanjoong NS is currently supplying water-cooled cooling systems to Samsung SDI's 3.8MWh ESS," and "since October this year, it has been installed in the 5MWh next-generation ESS."
