Broadcaster-turned-announcer Yoo Young-jae has been brought to trial on charges of forcibly molesting actress Sunwoo Eun-sook's elder sister, and Sunwoo Eun-sook appeared as a witness to testify.

On the 17th, the 3rd trial regarding Yoo Young-jae's charge of forcible molestation was held at the 1st Criminal Division of the Seongnam Branch of Suwon District Court. Sunwoo Eun-sook, who appeared in court as a witness that day, stated, "After filing for a consensual divorce, I once considered withdrawing the divorce because Yoo Young-jae said, 'Let's try again.' However, my sister said, 'I haven't told you until now because I was worried you might be shocked, but I don't think you should withdraw the divorce,' and played a recording for me." She continued, "I heard words I couldn't even imagine. In the recording, Yoo Young-jae said, 'Eunsook shouldn't know.' After hearing the content, I even fainted," she recalled.

She said, "My sister had been treated for panic disorder, and at that time, she lost 6 kg and aged rapidly," adding, "My sister told her children about the molestation. Facing such a situation, the only person she could rely on was her son." She also said, "Seeing Yoo Young-jae casually appearing on broadcasts, my sister said, 'I feel like vomiting just hearing the 'Yu' in Yoo Young-jae's name.' My sister showed a will to press charges, but I hesitated because I had a lot to lose," but added, "Having been in broadcasting for a long time, I said I would retire. I told my sister to do whatever she wanted."

Sunwoo Eun-sook explained, "Later, it was reported in the media, and I told my children because I was worried they might feel hurt if they didn't know again. They asked, 'Mom, you have a lot to lose, do you really have to do this?' So I replied, 'If I don't do this, you will see your aunt's corpse.'" Along with this, she claimed Yoo Young-jae's infidelity, saying, "I once had a fight with Yoo Young-jae and happened to see text messages exchanged between him and another woman. Yoo Young-jae sent 'Good night, I love you,' and the other party replied 'MeToo.' After seeing those messages, I thought I shouldn't live with this person."

Previously, Yoo Young-jae and Sunwoo Eun-sook remarried in October 2022 but separated in April after one year and six months. Afterwards, Sunwoo Eun-sook's side issued an official statement saying, "Two days after the divorce, we learned through media reports that Yoo Young-jae had hidden a common-law marriage and got married," and filed an annulment lawsuit. The scandal deepened when it was revealed that Yoo Young-jae was also accused of forcibly molesting Sunwoo Eun-sook's elder sister. Yoo Young-jae denied the charges at the first trial held on the 12th of last month, stating, "I did not forcibly molest her." Furthermore, after stepping down from a radio show due to the incident, he said through his YouTube channel, "I have been framed with a sexual harassment accusation that is like a punishment that will never be erased from me," and added, "If I die like this, the dirty sexual harassment will be accepted as fact, so I have decided to fight legally."
