Guro-gu Completes Road Maintenance on 'Buil-ro' Near Onsu Station

Re-paving and Lane Marking in Sections with Road Potholes (Potholes)

On the 18th, Guro-gu announced that it has completed road maintenance work on Buil-ro to ensure traffic safety and prevent accidents.

The road maintenance work was carried out between Usin Middle and High School Entrance Intersection and Gung-dong Sujeong Apartment, specifically on the section from Buil-ro 901 to Buil-ro 985.

This area had been the subject of continuous complaints due to potholes, often called landmines on the road, caused by frequent heavy rains and heatwaves this summer.

Additionally, asphalt heaving and rutting deformation occurred on the roads around bus stops, increasing the risk of safety accidents.

In response, the district repaired the damaged roads, including pothole repairs, over approximately two months starting last November, and recently completed the construction.

The resurfaced road surface was newly painted with lane markings, center lines, and crosswalks to help prevent traffic accidents.

A Guro-gu official stated, “Potholes not only risk vehicle damage but also cause other accidents as drivers try to avoid them. We will continue to do our best in road maintenance to ensure the safety of both vehicles and pedestrians.”
