The Department of Nursing at Yeungjin College (President Choi Jae-young) announced on the 17th that it has obtained a "5-year accreditation (June 11, 2025 ~ June 10, 2030)" in the 4th cycle nursing education accreditation evaluation recently conducted by the Korea Accreditation Board of Nursing Education.
In this evaluation, the Department of Nursing received excellent ratings in all six areas: vision and management system, curriculum, students, faculty, facilities and equipment, and educational outcomes, recognizing the qualitative excellence and systematic operation of nursing education.
The "Nursing Education Accreditation Evaluation" is conducted by the Korea Accreditation Board of Nursing Education, designated by the Ministry of Education, and is a system that reviews whether the operation of the curriculum and educational outcomes meet the standards required by the nation and the nursing profession.
Established in 1986, the Department of Nursing at Yeungjin College has established itself as a cradle for nurturing nursing talent based on over 30 years of tradition and field-centered education. Notably, it attracted attention by achieving an astonishing employment rate of 94.3% in this year's Ministry of Education's "Higher Education Institution Graduate Employment Statistics Survey."
Additionally, this year, it strengthened its educational capacity for training professional nurses by receiving approval from the Ministry of Education to establish a teacher training program.
Baek Ju-yeon, head of the Department of Nursing, said, "Our university's Department of Nursing cultivates holistic and dedicated nursing professionals and global nursing leaders based on faculty with rich clinical experience and close industry-academia cooperation." She added, "In 2025, we will provide more advanced education by dramatically improving the practical training environment through a complete remodeling of the department."
Meanwhile, the Department of Nursing at Yeungjin College operates a "Global Nursing" program, an overseas training program to strengthen global competencies, dispatching about 20 enrolled students to New Zealand for 15 days during this winter vacation.
