On the 17th, Hwasun County Governor Koo Bokgyu received a plaque of appreciation from the National Federation of Public Officials’ Labor Unions (Chairman Gong Juseok).
Governor Koo was recognized for his active support and cooperation in promoting the rights and welfare of public officials since the beginning of his 8th term in office.
Gong Juseok, Chairman of the National Federation of Public Officials’ Labor Unions, explained the reason for the award, stating, “Governor Koo Bokgyu’s open communication, the introduction of long-term leave for junior public officials, operation of the disaster situation room, and full assignment of team leaders to the civil affairs office are exemplary policies that have set a nationwide standard.”
Governor Koo Bokgyu said, “This plaque of appreciation is a token of gratitude for the efforts and cooperation of all Hwasun County public officials,” and added, “We will continue to foster labor-management harmony and create an environment where public officials can work with pride, further enhancing the quality of administrative services for our residents.”
Governor Koo has not only promoted the welfare of public officials, but also pursued various innovative policies to improve residents’ happiness, such as the nation’s first 10,000-won rental housing for newlywed young couples, a dedicated multicultural team for local residents, and the 24-hour Hwasun Daycare Center.
