Gwangju Hyoryeong Senior Welfare Town Holds 'Sharing Briquettes of Love' Volunteer Activity

900 Briquettes Delivered to Three Households in Yongjeon Village, Buk-gu

Hyoryeong Senior Welfare Town (hereafter Hyoryeong Town) carried out a 'Briquette of Love Sharing' volunteer activity in Yongjeon Village, Buk-gu, on the 17th.

This event was organized to support households vulnerable to briquette heating, and Hyoryeong Town participated together with Warm People (CEO Jang Jaeseong) and Honam Lions (President An Jincheol).

Briquettes were delivered to three households, with 300 pieces provided to each. These briquettes were prepared through voluntary donations and fundraising by members of the Hyoryeong Town dance sports club.

One resident who received the briquettes said, "I was very worried because I was running out of briquettes, but I am truly grateful to receive so many. Seeing the volunteers carry the briquettes themselves through the narrow alleys almost brought me to tears. I think I will be able to spend this winter warmly without worries."

Jeong Kyungnam, head of Hyoryeong Town, said, "I was happy to be able to deliver a little warmth to neighbors in need together with the local community," and added, "We will continue to create a warm welfare community through sharing."
