A-Root announced on the 17th that it has begun developing the next-generation label printer, the ‘Linerless Printer’.
A-Root plans to complete the development of the new product by next year and actively target the label printer market. Label printers are printers that print various types of labels and are used in diverse fields such as retail, manufacturing, and transportation. Following the COVID-19 pandemic, the logistics and online shopping sectors have grown significantly, leading to a surge in demand for industrial label printers.
The Linerless Printer is characterized by producing no waste paper after label printing, making it environmentally friendly by reducing waste generation. As demand for eco-friendly products from major domestic and international corporations expands, A-Root plans to supply the new product to global logistics giants after development.
A-Root is conducting its industrial mini printer business centered on its own brand ‘SEWOO’. It has secured reliability by supplying products to domestic and overseas customers in various industries for over 20 years. Recently, A-Root succeeded in achieving over 80% market share in the domestic kitchen order output POS printer market for two consecutive years. It also continues to supply label printers to public institutions such as schools and local governments.
An A-Root representative said, “We decided to develop the Linerless Printer with the goal of strengthening our market share in the label printer market, which has high growth potential, through diversifying our product portfolio. The label printer market is characterized by high entry barriers in terms of technology and customer trust, and A-Root will target the market based on its supply references for public institutions and high brand recognition domestically and internationally.”
He added, “Due to the recent increase in transportation and distribution volumes, demand for label printers in logistics fields such as delivery is rapidly increasing, so the supply of the eco-friendly Linerless Printer will also proceed smoothly.
