The Sanggong Council of Goryeong-gun, Gyeongbuk (Chairman Kim Jong-tae) contributed 15 million KRW to the Hometown Love Donation, which serves as a foundation for regional development, at the regular general meeting held on the 12th at the Gaya Geum Hall in the Daegaya Cultural Nuri Center of Goryeong-gun Office, supporting love for Goryeong.
The companies participating in this Hometown Love Donation ceremony are three companies located in Dasan-myeon, Goryeong-gun: DH Chemical (CEO Ha Hyun-joo), Lube Cam Korea (CEO Lee Seung-woo), and Ujeon (CEO Lee Hong-seok). Each of these companies donated 5 million KRW, which corresponds to the annual donation limit per person for the Hometown Love Donation.
The donors said, "We are pleased to participate in this meaningful donation for the development of Goryeong," and added, "We will continue to strive for the development of the local community."
County Governor Lee Nam-chul said, "I thank the Sanggong Council of Goryeong-gun for playing a solid supporting role in the local economy despite difficult circumstances, and I will do my best for the development of Goryeong-gun by using the warm hearts you have conveyed as a foundation for the residents."
The Hometown Love Donation system allows individuals to donate up to 5 million KRW annually to local governments (metropolitan or basic) other than their place of residence. Up to 100,000 KRW is fully tax-deductible, and the excess amount receives a 16.5% tax credit, with return gifts provided within 30% of the donation amount.
