The First Academic Community Platform in the Financial Sector
Providing Various Information on School and Class Management
BNK Busan Bank has launched ‘Morak,’ the first school community service in the financial sector that allows schools and parents to communicate easily and manage classes smoothly.
This community service is available to customers aged 19 and older who use Busan Bank’s mobile banking, enabling users to easily check announcements, academic schedules, timetables, and school meals of their chosen schools.
Teachers can create a ‘Class’ for the classes they are in charge of and conveniently share information related to class management such as communication notebooks, class schedules, assignment submission status, and attendance with parents. Administrative tasks that were previously managed manually, such as consultation reservations, surveys, and field trip applications, can now be easily managed electronically through ‘Morak.’
By receiving a secure number, teachers can communicate with parents without exposing their personal phone numbers, and consultation contents are automatically summarized through AI voice recognition.
Parents can easily check their children’s school life information, which is easy to miss, and communicate with the responsible teachers through online consultation reservations. By registering their child’s allergy information, they can also use the ‘Allergy Alert’ feature that notifies them of foods to avoid in school meals.
This service can be used through Busan Bank’s mobile and internet banking without the need to open a separate account.
Kim Jin-han, Head of Digital Finance Division at BNK Busan Bank, said, “As the main bank for the Busan Metropolitan Office of Education, we have focused Busan Bank’s digital capabilities to contribute to creating a better educational environment,” adding, “We plan to expand this service in the future to become a community platform for families and gatherings in daily life.”
