Asan Woori Bank, which secured 2nd place in the first half of this season's Women's Korean Basketball League (WKBL), suffered the dishonor of becoming the first team since the league's inception in 1998 to score zero points in a single quarter.

On the 16th, Woori Bank finished the first quarter scoreless in their home game against Incheon Shinhan Bank S-Birds at the Asan Yi Sun-sin Gymnasium during the Hana Bank 2024?2025 WKBL 3rd round. Despite attempting six 2-point shots and ten 3-point shots in the first quarter, Woori Bank failed to make a single basket. They also did not earn any free throws from opponent fouls in the first quarter. Shinhan Bank scored 14 points in the first quarter.

Until now, no team in women's professional basketball had recorded zero points in a single quarter. Previously, the lowest record was Shinhan Bank scoring only 1 point in the 4th quarter against Hana One Q (now Hana Bank) on December 6 last year. Since the men's professional basketball league started in 1997, no team has recorded zero points in a single quarter either.

For Woori Bank, which has won the most championships in the finals historically, including last season, scoring zero points in a quarter is a humiliating dishonor. The absence of forward Kim Dan-bi, who leads the league this season in points, rebounds, blocks, and steals, created a huge gap. Kim Dan-bi played through an elbow injury to lead the team to victory against Cheongju KB on the 13th but was later diagnosed with nerve damage and went to Japan for treatment. Starting forward Han Eom-ji also missed two consecutive games due to an ankle injury.

Woori Bank launched a counterattack from the second quarter but lost momentum as they failed to score for over five minutes in the early part of the fourth quarter. Ultimately, Woori Bank could not overturn the game and lost 43-57.
