On the 16th, X (formerly Twitter) user A posted, "A banner hung in Suseong-gu, Daegu," adding, "The citizens of Daegu have come to their senses, but the members of the National Assembly have not." He also shared a photo, saying, "Please do not vote for People Power Party lawmakers next time."
The photo showed a banner hung at the entrance of an apartment in Suseong-gu, Daegu, reading, "I am so ashamed I can't live like this! Yoon Suk-yeol, People Power Party (Joo Ho-young) voted by a man in his 50s from Suseong-gu." The recent actual transaction price of the apartment is known to be 1.23 billion KRW. Netizens who saw the banner responded with various comments such as, "From now on, we should vote based on individuals and pledges, not parties," "Let's choose real workers for the country," and "Reasons why voting well is important."
Meanwhile, a public opinion poll showed that the gap in support between the People Power Party and the Democratic Party of Korea reached its largest margin since the launch of the Yoon Suk-yeol administration. According to a survey conducted by Realmeter on behalf of Energy Economy Newspaper from the 12th to 13th, targeting 1,001 voters aged 18 and over nationwide (with a 95% confidence level and a sampling error of ±3.1 percentage points), support for the People Power Party was 25.7%, while the Democratic Party stood at 52.4%. The gap between the two parties was 26.7 percentage points. Compared to the survey a week earlier, the People Power Party's support dropped by 0.5 percentage points, while the Democratic Party's rose by 4.8 percentage points.
Support for the People Power Party fell for the second consecutive week, hitting a new low. In contrast, the Democratic Party's support increased for the third consecutive week, reaching its highest level in the current administration in one year and two months since the second week of October last year (50.7%).
