On the 16th, the Daejeon Western Police Station applied for an arrest warrant for Mr. A, in his 50s, on charges including violation of the Act on Aggravated Punishment of Specific Crimes (assault on a driver) and public obscenity, according to a report by Yonhap News Agency on the same day. Mr. A is accused of approaching bus driver Mr. B (also in his 50s) inside a city bus operating in Yongmun-dong, Seo-gu, Daejeon, around 11 p.m. on the 19th of last month, urinating and punching him in the face.

At the time, Mr. A boarded the bus in a heavily intoxicated state and sat in the back seat, starting to smoke. When bus driver Mr. B approached to stop the smoking, Mr. A seemed to comply and stopped smoking. However, shortly after Mr. B returned to the driver's seat, Mr. A began smoking again. Mr. B warned him once more, informing him that he would report to the police.

Then, Mr. A approached the driver's seat to protest and suddenly pulled down his pants and underwear, urinating toward Mr. B's face. Startled, Mr. B stood up abruptly from the driver's seat, at which point Mr. A also threw punches at Mr. B's face.

Mr. A was arrested at the scene by police who responded to Mr. B's report. During the police investigation, Mr. A reportedly claimed, "I committed the act because I asked the bus driver to let me off, but he did not listen."

Mr. A's assault and exposure were fully captured on the bus's internal closed-circuit television (CCTV). It was also confirmed that female passengers were on board the bus at the time.

Mr. B sustained injuries to his face, including bruising, requiring two weeks of medical treatment. It is known that at one point, the bruising did not subside, and he continued working while covering his face with sunglasses. A representative of the bus company said, "Mr. B is usually kind and exemplary to passengers and colleagues. He received a day of treatment and is working because he urgently needs to make a living, but he is still suffering from severe stress and is known to be continuously visiting a psychiatrist."
