Completion of 2024 Dongducheon City Council Members' Research Group Activities

The Dongducheon City Council in Gyeonggi Province (Chairman Kim Seung-ho) announced on the 16th that it held the '2nd Council Member Research Group Operation Review Committee' on the 13th and approved the research activity reports of two council member research groups.

Through five months of research activities, the two council member research groups sought developmental alternatives and, based on this, set future legislative activity directions for city development.

The 'Flower Complex Creation and Sincheon Riverside Utilization Study Group' conducted in-depth research on creating a flower complex using the area around Sincheon, developing festivals, and composing landscape lighting. The 'Cultural Heritage Tourism Study Group' derived plans to revitalize tourism by utilizing unique cultural heritage such as Normæsi (Norwegian Mobile Surgical Hospital) and protected trees.

Chairman Kim Seung-ho said, "We will actively utilize the results of the two research activities in legislative activities by sharing them with the executive branch so that they do not remain mere outcomes but are reflected in city policies."
