Mayor Lee Dong-hwan Participates: "Hoping Warm Hearts Reach Marginalized Neighbors"
Goyang Special City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Lee Dong-hwan) announced on the 16th that it held a 'Sharing Love Kimchi Making' event at Goyang City Hall on the 14th, hosted by the Federation of Korean Associations in the USA.

About 60 participants, including Mayor Lee Dong-hwan of Goyang Special City, officials from the Korean branch of the Federation of Korean Associations in the USA, and volunteers, made kimchi using over 500 heads of napa cabbage to help underprivileged groups in Goyang City have a warm winter.
Of the 140 boxes of love kimchi made at this event, 115 boxes will be delivered to 10 social welfare centers in the city through the Goyang City Welfare Center Association, and 25 boxes will be donated to Holt School.
Mayor Lee Dong-hwan of Goyang Special City said, "The kimchi sharing volunteer work is more than just sharing; it is an opportunity to share affection among neighbors and reflect on the value of a community that comes together." He added, "I hope that through this kimchi sharing, warm hearts thinking of marginalized neighbors will also be delivered."
