Namyangju City Announces Public Recruitment for Northern Taxi Shelter Trustee? "Targeting Opening in March Next Year"

Applications Accepted from the 31st to January 3rd Next Year

Namyangju City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Ju Gwang-deok) announced on the 16th that it will publicly recruit a trustee responsible for the stable operation of the Northern Taxi Shelter, a transportation pledge project promoted during the 8th term of the civilian government.

Following the Southern Taxi Shelter, which opened in Hopyeong-dong in 2019, the Northern Taxi Shelter is being developed as a comfortable resting space equipped with a lounge, fitness room, and meeting room.

Although construction was underway with the goal of completion in November this year, the schedule has been changed to January next year due to on-site circumstances.

The city plans to expedite all procedures to start operations from March next year after completing the construction.

The trustee recruitment announcement begins on the 16th of this month, and applications will be accepted from the 31st of this month until January 3rd of next year. Eligible applicants are taxi-related organizations located in Namyangju City, and application documents must be submitted directly to the Public Transportation Division of Namyangju City Hall.

Afterward, the city will select the final operating entity through the evaluation of the trustee selection committee and complete the move-in procedures by February next year.

Mayor Ju Gwang-deok of Namyangju City said, “Taxi drivers will be able to feel a tangible improvement in welfare through the Northern Taxi Shelter,” adding, “We will do our best to ensure stable operation of the shelter and increase satisfaction from the users’ perspective.”
