Jeonju-si, Recruiting for 'Urban Agriculture Consultant and Healing Farm Guide' Project Team

Selection of 80 People Aged 60 and Over

Jeonbuk Jeonju Agricultural Technology Center and Jeonju Senior Club will recruit the ‘Urban Agriculture Consultant and Healing Farm Guide Project Team’ starting from the 16th.

According to the Jeonju Agricultural Technology Center, this recruitment is being conducted to revitalize urban agriculture and create jobs for seniors. Applicants must be Jeonju citizens aged 60 or older who are interested in agriculture.

The recruitment will select a total of 80 people: 30 for the ‘Urban Agriculture Consultant Project Team’ and 50 for the ‘Healing Farm Guide Project Team’.

Seniors selected for the ‘Urban Agriculture Consultant Project Team’ will perform tasks such as managing and maintaining urban agriculture spaces created by the Jeonju Agricultural Technology Center at welfare centers, middle schools, and public institutions, as well as assisting with agricultural experience activities.

The ‘Healing Farm Guide Project Team’ specializes in managing school gardens established within elementary schools. They will be deployed to 22 elementary schools to cultivate gardens with children and assist with agricultural experience activities.

A representative from Jeonju Agricultural Technology Department stated, “The activities of senior garden managers are expected to greatly contribute not only to the revitalization of urban agriculture but also to improving the quality of life for participating seniors. We ask for the interest and participation of many people.”
