Additional Thank-You Gifts Provided Until the 27th
Hwaseong City in Gyeonggi Province is holding an event to expand participation in the 'Hometown Love Donation Program' in time for the year-end tax settlement season.
From the 16th to the 27th, participants who donate 100,000 KRW or more to Hwaseong City will be entered into a draw where 100 winners will receive additional thank-you gifts worth about 30,000 KRW, including Suhyangmi rice, wine, and Korean beef bulgogi.
From the 16th to the 20th, a special event called 'Nono Ae Ae Week' will be held in collaboration with local Nono Cafes, offering visitors complimentary gifts.
The Hometown Love Donation Program allows donations to local governments nationwide, excluding the donor’s registered address. Donations up to 100,000 KRW are fully tax-deductible, and amounts exceeding that receive a 16.5% tax credit. Thank-you gifts such as local specialties are also provided within 30% of the donation amount. Donations can be made through the 'Hometown Love e-um' website or at any NongHyup Bank branch nationwide.
Meanwhile, Hwaseong City surpassed a cumulative donation amount of 600 million KRW through a total of 6,445 donations by the 9th, becoming the first basic local government in Gyeonggi Province to achieve this milestone.
Jung Myung-geun, Mayor of Hwaseong City, said, "We sincerely thank all donors who support Hwaseong City through the Hometown Love Donation Program," adding, "We will use the donations received wisely to create a better city in line with the launch of the special city status next year."
