With continuous heavy snowfall expected due to abnormal weather patterns, Yangpyeong County is conducting inspections of snow removal vulnerable areas, including renting and pre-inspecting snow removal equipment, purchasing snow removal materials, and placing sandbags to alleviate pedestrian and vehicle travel difficulties caused by icy roads and frozen surfaces.
The county has deployed 21 snow removal vehicles (3 owned by the county, 14 15-ton dump trucks, and 4 excavators) for road snow removal operations and secured snow removal materials such as 372 tons of calcium chloride and 3,390 tons of salt to carry out thorough and efficient snow removal work.
At the site visit of the automatic brine spraying device, Mayor Jeon Jin-seon said, “We will devise efficient snow removal measures to minimize safety accidents and travel inconveniences caused by heavy snowfall in winter and ensure thoroughness in the operations.”
