The donation ceremony was attended by Paju Mayor Kim Kyung-il, Lee Han-gu, Head of LG Display’s Management Support Group, Jeong Sang-sik, Chairman of LG Display Labor Union, Lee Ki-sang, LG Display Labor Relations Officer, Lee Won-jang, LG Display Global Management Support Officer, and other related personnel.

LG Display is leading corporate social responsibility and community return by practicing various social contribution projects such as sharing kimchi for love, regular support for low-income households, scholarship support projects, and housing environment improvement projects.

In particular, the books for the visually impaired are especially meaningful as LG Display employees and their families personally produced and donated braille, audio, and tactile books for visually impaired children, aiming to expand the meaning of “display,” which refers to electronic devices that output visual information.

The donated funds will be used to support the livelihoods of those in welfare blind spots and case management discovery targets through the Gyeonggi Social Welfare Community Chest, and the books for the visually impaired will be donated to local libraries.

Lee Han-gu, Head of LG Display’s Management Support Group, said, “I hope that the books for the visually impaired, themed on Western musical instruments, and the donations for vulnerable groups will help make the local community warm and prosperous,” adding, “We will continue to carry out various win-win activities to help marginalized groups in the community.”

Paju Mayor Kim Kyung-il said, “I sincerely thank LG Display for practicing sharing in many ways every year for vulnerable groups in Paju City,” and added, “This donation event became an opportunity to reflect again on the meaning of ‘coexistence,’ which means helping each other and existing together.”
