Yeungjin College (President Choi Jae-young) Emergency Medical Technician Education Center has produced the top scorer in the 2024 Level 2 Emergency Medical Technician National Examination.
According to the Emergency Medical Technician Education Center of the college on the 16th, trainee Shin Hee-young (49th class, 25) achieved the honor of ranking first with a score of 182 out of 200 points (equivalent to 91 out of 100) in the 2024 Level 2 Emergency Medical Technician National Examination conducted by the Korea Health Personnel Licensing Examination Institute.
Students of the Department of Emergency Medical Services at Yeongjin College are practicing cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
A total of 1,172 candidates nationwide took the 2nd level Emergency Medical Technician National Examination this time, with 989 passing, resulting in a pass rate of 84.4%.
Shin Hee-young entered the 49th class training course at the Emergency Medical Technician Education Center in the first half of this year, completed the course with excellent grades, and achieved outstanding results in this national exam. Shin said, "I never expected to be the top scorer. I believe it is not just my own effort but the result of mutual help and study with others," expressing her thoughts.
The Yeungjin College Emergency Medical Technician Education Center, established in 1995 by designation of the Ministry of Health and Welfare, is the only institution in Korea that trains Level 2 Emergency Medical Technicians for the general public. Since its establishment, it has produced 3,000 emergency medical technicians in the field, and this year, ahead of the center’s 30th anniversary, it achieved the great feat of producing the 50th class trainees along with the top scorer in the national exam.
Lee Yang-sun, head of the Emergency Medical Technician Education Center (head of the Emergency Medical Technician Department), said, “We sincerely congratulate Shin Hee-young for the honor of being the top scorer,” and added, “We will continue to do our best to nurture high-quality talents who can demonstrate their capabilities in emergency medical fields.”
Meanwhile, Yeungjin College is accelerating talent development by establishing the Emergency Medical Technician Department from the 2024 academic year with the goal of training Level 1 Emergency Medical Technicians to further strengthen the system for nurturing emergency medical personnel.
