[Special Stock] Contaminated Wash Water Incident... Maeil Dairies Stock Price Declines↓

Maeil Dairies is weak.

As of 9:07 AM on the 16th, Maeil Dairies was traded at 34,500 KRW, down 750 KRW (2.13%) from the previous trading day.

It has been confirmed that cleaning water was mixed into some of Maeil Milk's sterilized products, and the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety plans to conduct an on-site inspection.

Depending on the inspection results, administrative measures against Maeil Dairies will be decided.

Earlier, Maeil Dairies voluntarily recalled more than 10,000 units of its Original Maeil Milk sterilized products contaminated with cleaning water during the manufacturing process.

The affected products are the 'Maeil Milk Original (Sterilized) 200ml' with a consumption expiration date of February 16, 2025, manufactured at Maeil Dairies' Gwangju factory.

This was confirmed after some employees reported stomach pain and other symptoms from consuming some of the Maeil Milk Original products provided as meals at Hyundai Motor Company's research institute on the 12th.
