LS Securities analyzed on the 16th that expectations for themes and individual issues remain in the KOSDAQ market.
Hwang Sanhae, a researcher at LS Securities, explained, "The 700-point level collapsed as even individual investors, who had been supporting the downside in the KOSDAQ market, turned to selling," adding, "Despite the Democratic Party's agreement to abolish the financial investment tax on the 4th of last month, individual investor sentiment has not recovered."
He continued, "The factor that could raise expectations for a bottom in the KOSDAQ market is the individual selling pressure, which has not yet fully extended to small and mid-cap stocks," and added, "This is evidence that expectations for themes and individual issues remain." He emphasized, "New leading themes such as entertainment, shipbuilding, software (S/W), and ventures have filled the void left by Alteogen, EcoPro, and EcoPro BM," and noted, "The driving factors behind each theme are substantial changes that can lead to earnings expectations rather than one-off rumors or issues, which is why a bottom-up approach is necessary for the time being."
Researcher Hwang also analyzed, "From a top-down perspective, an environment that could expect a rebound in index components such as healthcare and secondary batteries will also be created," citing "the resolution of political uncertainty following the passage of the impeachment motion and the slight recovery signals in individual investor sentiment after the confirmation of the abolition of the financial investment tax."
He stated, "With foreign selling of Alteogen entering a sideways trend, it is a situation where uncertainty can be resolved and buying pressure may shift due to interest rate cuts," and expressed expectations that "EcoPro BM also has the potential for synchronization with the Tesla rally as part of Tesla's value chain."
