Criticism of Han Dong-hoon from the Day After Impeachment Passed
"Time to Reorganize the Party and Make a New Start"
Rep. Na Kyung-won of the People Power Party (Seoul Dongjak-eul), who consistently opposed the impeachment motion against President Yoon Suk-yeol, raised her voice in criticism against Party Leader Han Dong-hoon from the day after the impeachment motion was passed.

On the 15th, Rep. Na wrote on Facebook, "Even before the impeachment vote, we tried to persuade Leader Han Dong-hoon. We said, 'We are not impeaching solely based on 63 news articles. Let's proceed with the process more calmly.' However, Leader Han insisted on a swift impeachment until the end," adding, "The emergence of 'Emergency Response Committee Chairman Han Dong-hoon' at the end of last year was the beginning of misfortune." She evaluated, "As soon as Chairman Han joined the party, a fight between the president and Chairman Han began. During that fight, our party ultimately suffered a crushing defeat in the general election. After the election, Leader Han, who appeared as the party leader, always directed his gun at the president."
She said, "Even when the opposition party relentlessly impeached the Broadcasting and Communications Commission chairman, failed to properly appoint one, impeached the Audit Board chairman, and impeached the Central District Prosecutor General, it was difficult to hear the voice of our party leader. The same went for when the budget was entirely cut," and evaluated, "The president's approval rating temporarily rose during the two weeks when the party leader refrained from criticizing the president due to the party members' bulletin board incident." She added, "We are all party members, so we have restrained internal criticism as much as possible. We tried to manage the situation somehow, but now we can no longer delay it," and questioned, "What can a party that is pushed around, lacking efforts to truly protect its identity, ideology, and values, appeal to the people with?" She then said, "In that sense, I actively sympathize with Daegu Mayor Hong Joon-pyo's mercenary rejection theory." This is a claim that the current situation, where President Yoon Suk-yeol has been impeached and the party is divided, is the result of entrusting the party to 'mercenaries' brought in from outside rather than internal party personnel.
Finally, she wrote, "The People Power Party has already transitioned to an emergency response committee system," and added, "It is time for a quick system transition and party reorganization to make a small but strong party and start anew for the country and the people."
At the general assembly of lawmakers held immediately after the impeachment motion was passed the previous day, demands for Leader Han's resignation surged, mainly from the pro-Yoon faction and senior party members. Leader Han maintained his stance of 'no resignation' at this meeting and confronted the lawmakers, but eventually, all five elected supreme council members tendered their resignations, effectively leading to the 'automatic dissolution' of the leadership.
