Since 2013, Doosan Enerbility has collaborated with over 340 industry-academia-research institutions to develop large gas turbines for power generation, achieving the world’s fifth successful development in 2019 with an investment exceeding 1 trillion KRW. Currently, the company is developing a hydrogen turbine for power generation that uses 100% hydrogen fuel, targeting completion by 2027.

In the nuclear power sector, they succeeded in localizing the APR1400 main equipment and have supplied 34 reactors and 124 steam generators worldwide. They are also strengthening global cooperation to export key equipment for SMRs (Small Modular Reactors).

In offshore wind power, they completed the Jeju Tamna Offshore Wind Farm and partnered with domestic wind power specialists to enhance competitiveness. In September, they were selected as the lead company for a national project and plan to invest over 50 billion KRW in research and development and factory expansion.

Chairman Park said, “I believe today’s award is shared by the industry-academia-research community that contributed to the localization, manufacturing, and supply of key power plant equipment,” adding, “We will continue to do our best to contribute to the domestic carbon-free energy industry ecosystem and regional economic revitalization.”
