The group NewJeans opened a new social networking service (SNS) account separate from their previous official account on the 14th and joined the 'prepaid support' relay for fans participating in the rally calling for the impeachment of Yoon Seok-yeol.

The five members of NewJeans launched a new Instagram account called "jeanzforfree" on the same day, describing it as "a small gift for Bunnyz and K-pop fans." They announced that they would provide 110 servings of gimbap, 250 drinks, 100 bowls of samgyetang, and 100 bowls of mandu soup in a prepaid format for participants of the Yoon Seok-yeol impeachment rally held in Yeouido, Seoul. They explained, "Regardless of the artist, as long as you have a lightstick, you can receive it under the name 'Bunnyz.'"

The members added through a live video, "Isn't Korea really cold? So we prepared warm meals for you," and said, "Take care of yourselves, and we will support you together."

They also announced through their individual accounts that this Instagram is their new account. Daniel said, "It's really us," and Minji greeted, "We missed you all." Hanni said, "We will meet more often here (on the new SNS account)."

Earlier, on the 28th of last month, NewJeans held an emergency press conference and announced that they would terminate their exclusive contract starting at midnight on the 29th. They stated that the issues they requested Adore to correct had not been resolved and said, "Adore neither has the will nor the ability to protect NewJeans." They claimed that there would be no additional lawsuits or obligations for penalty payments, including injunctions to suspend the exclusive contract, and that they would continue to use the name NewJeans.

By opening a new account instead of using their existing SNS, the members are interpreted as expressing their intention to pursue an independent path following the termination of the exclusive contract. Former Adore CEO Min Hee-jin liked their first post.
