According to the cultural sector on the 14th, the 'Republic of Korea Musicians Solidarity' stated in a political declaration the day before, "Those who oppose impeachment are accomplices to rebellion," and "We demand the impeachment and immediate arrest of Yoon Suk-yeol."
They criticized, "On December 12, Yoon Suk-yeol claimed the legitimacy of declaring martial law with the sophistry that 'the president's declaration of martial law is a highly political act' in a national address," adding, "Yoon Suk-yeol violated the constitution and undermined the democratic value of the separation of powers by illegally ordering the military to the National Assembly and the Election Commission, destroying ordinary daily life."
They also said, "Angry citizens have gathered in front of the National Assembly to protect liberal democracy, shouting for impeachment in unison, waving light sticks, and singing idol songs, urging punishment for the coup forces," adding, "The music we created is spreading worldwide and resonating in the squares. We musicians deplore this ironic situation."
Furthermore, they claimed, "The country of K-pop, into which our senior and junior colleagues have poured their souls, is being portrayed overseas as a politically backward country," and "The brand value of K-culture, elevated by us musicians and Korean artists, is falling due to Korean politics." They stated, "We demand that impeachment must pass in the National Assembly," and "Moreover, we will continue to fight alongside citizens until the Constitutional Court upholds the impeachment and the country is normalized."

More than 700 people, including Yoon Jong-shin, Yoon Il-sang, Kim Eana, The Cross's Lee Si-ha, Kim Hyuk-gun, Shin Daechul of Sinawe, R.ef's Lee Sung-wook, Lucid Fall, Cho Jung-chi, Dalparan, and lyricist Seo Ji-eum, participated in this political declaration.
The day before, filmmakers also issued a second emergency statement.
They said, "In this chaos that began with the delusional declaration of martial law by Yoon Suk-yeol, we cannot imagine any outcome other than impeachment or immediate resignation," adding, "A president who violates the constitution must be punished by the methods specified in the constitution. We filmmakers will not tolerate any attempts to seek other unconstitutional methods while claiming martial law is unconstitutional," strongly urging the People Power Party lawmakers to participate in the vote.
The National Assembly decided to put the impeachment motion against President Yoon to a vote at 4 p.m. that day. This is the second impeachment proceeding following the one on the 7th. During the first impeachment, the People Power Party largely abstained from voting, resulting in a lack of quorum and dismissal. Approval requires the support of at least two-thirds of the total members, meaning 200 or more votes.
