Broadcaster Lee Soo-geun has put up for sale a building he owned in Sangam-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul.

According to a media report on the 13th, Lee Soo-geun owns a three-story small building located in Sangam-dong. It is known to be situated about 150 meters away from the 'Contents Lab Bibo' Sangam office, established and operated by Song Eun-i.

According to the real estate industry, Lee Soo-geun purchased the building in February 2011 under joint ownership with his wife, Park Ji-yeon. Currently, the land is jointly owned by the couple, but the building is registered solely under his wife's name. At the time of purchase, the building was an old house, which was converted in use and expanded to become a small building with a land area of 165.0㎡ (49.91 pyeong). The couple held the building for over 10 years before recently putting it on the market.

A representative from Building Road Brokerage Corporation explained, "It is believed that the building was purchased at the market price from 11 years ago, but the narrow road and its location inside were disadvantages in terms of accessibility." However, they added, "Part of the front of the building is exposed to the main road, and there is a 'pot-shaped' dining district formed along with nearby broadcasting stations and office facilities, resulting in a high flow of people." Furthermore, they said, "With development benefits such as the Sangam-Susaek and DMC station area development, Lotte Shopping site development, and a large Ferris wheel planned to be built in Sangam Peace Park, land price increases can be expected." They added, "Based on cases of transactions around 70 to 80 million KRW per pyeong in the vicinity, the current value of Lee Soo-geun's building is estimated to be at least 3.7 billion KRW."

Meanwhile, Lee Soo-geun debuted in 2003 as a KBS 18th class comedian special recruit and gained great popularity by hitting with 'Go-eum Bul-ga' on 'Gag Concert.' Since then, he has solidified his position as an entertainer by appearing on numerous variety shows such as 'Happy Together Friends,' '1 Night 2 Days,' 'New Journey to the West,' and 'Knowing Bros.' In 2008, he married Park, a former stylist, and they have two sons. Last year, addressing rumors about his 30 billion KRW fortune, he said, "It's a pleasant misunderstanding. I didn't like comedians always being known as poor. I think the wealth I have now is the result of hard work while raising my children."
